We are a formally Constituted association with our own bank account and a brief review of our aims is given below.
• To benefit the residents who live and work in the parish of Cranbrook by linking them together with local groups, voluntary organisations and the local authorities. • To promote a co-ordinated effort to improve our community life, advance community led project developments and to build a strong local social and community infrastructure. • To provide a common voice for residents to express their thoughts on adding to the quality of life in Cranbrook.
Because we are a formally constituted community group we are able to apply for funds to support our work. We have also sourced insurance cover which will cover public liability and volunteer insurance for activities (within the policy) for groups that are in our membership. This could be of considerable benefit, particularly to small groups. However, the activity must be run with the knowledge and approval, including a completed risk assessment form, of the Cranbrook community association for the insurance cover to be valid. If any group, within the membership, needs to discuss an event or activity they are running, please get in touch with us.
